| Isaiah 52:7 says....How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bring good tidings of good, that publisheth Salvation; that saith in Zion, Thy God reigneth ! Children of the Mountains I rejoice when I read the above verse because I know that not only has many steps have be trodden and many lives have been lost in the conquest of furthering the Kingdom of God throughout the centuries, but also that it has not been done in vain. Christianity is alive and well, and we continue to crush Satan daily under our feet. I thank Pastor Sammy Pacleb, overseer of 20 Christian Fellowship Churches in the Negros Occidental Region of the Philippines and his wife Wennolyn for their diligence in serving their native people. The congregations that Pastor Sammy oversees are poor, especially those in the Mountain regions. The pictures you see on the right you is just a few of 100 or more children that lives in these Mountains. The children are in desperate need of shoes. They do not have shoes to wear to school. They also need clothes. Pastor Sammy has provided feeding programs for them and has clothes drives, but the need is very great, and he needs our help. Please consider a monetary gift today, so new shoes and clothes can be bought for these children. Some of the children you see are those who have already received shoes and clothes. We display these pics with many thanks to those who has already given to this cause. Also, please pray for Pastor Sammy and his wife as they continue to teach and minister to these people and continue to build churches for them to worship in. Please partner with these dear ones with a monthly covenant or a one time gift of any amount. memo: Mountain Children Adopt a Student The picture you see to the lower right is only 9 of many young men and women that attend Bible School in the Philippines. Here they learn not only about the Bible, but how to apply it as they face the challenges in the real world and their divine calling. Tuition for one student to attend Bible School is $30 USD a month. This supplies all expenses to attend and study at the Bible School, including their food. The Philippine economy which was already at a snails pace is now even slower as devastation from typhoons has hit the islands earlier this year. Many students may have to drop out of their studies for lack of funds. Families and friends that was struggling to assist these students financially before the Typhoons, are now finding it ever harder to keep the vision alive. Pastor Sammy is concerned that if these students have to drop out, they may be discouraged in their walk with the Lord and in their divine calling. We would ask you to please pray for these students as they struggle to stay in their studies, and pray they will be encouraged, even in the midst of hopelessness. Also, if you find it in your heart to help these young men and women, please consider joining The Dominos Effect and Pastor Sammy of The Christian Fellowship Churches of the Philippines in the Adopt a Student program for only $30 USD a month. You may sponsor just one student or any number of them. One time gifts are welcomed also. Memo: Adopt a Student Disaster Relief The Country of the Philippines is comprised of 7000+ islands. The Typhoons that hit the country in 2009 brought devastation to the entire country, some areas worst than others. Anyone who is not a resident of the Philippines can not imagine the degree of devastation these people are enduring. Though we choose not to display certain pictures, such as those mourning and the mass funerals, try to imagine the soul wrenching agony of burying your entire family at one time. Imagine mass burials where a large hole is dug in the earth and layers of caskets are lined up in the hole. Then you experience insult on top of injury as the graves of those gone before are either covered over in mud or washed away completely. One report comes to us that 13 people were struck by lightening all at once while out in the fields. Five of these died instantly, while others died at the hospital. Horrible. There is nothing no one can do to relieve the grief these survivors are experiencing, but we can attempt to make their everyday lives more pleasant, see that they have a roof over their head or a meal to settle their hunger. Consider the children as well. Contact us today by email at: bettyrausch@thedominoseffect.com Eternal Life Christian Fellowship Church Eternal Life Christian Fellowship Church is in Cagayan de Oro City on the Isle of Mindanao, Philippines. Established since March of 2002, Eternal Life's mission is to establish Kingdom Worship within their church and area. The Lord has called them to preach the message of Hope, Faith and Courage not only to their own congregation, but to all the nations of the World, expanding the Kingdom of God to the ends of the Earth so commanded in the Great Commission. It is their desire to see more and more people come to the realization of the Lord and His marvelous Grace and have a more personal intimate relationship with Him. Eternal Life began with a congregation of 50 people when they started. Now in 2009 they have increased by 50 families. Their goal was for each person to reach one family. Christianity is well accepted there. Eternal Life is an Independent Missionary Church and have an extended outreach program. Right now, Eternal Life Church is in need of supplies for their church and schools. They are in need of chairs......50 adult plastic chairs, in which they can buy for $10 USD each, and 30 children size plastic chairs, which they can buy for $8 USD each. Also the church is praying for a computer, as the pastor there has to travel to a computer shop twice a week to do online studies and other work. Please pray for Eternal Life Church that the Lord will continue to bless them. And, if you feel lead by the Lord to help this church obtain the supplies they need to function properly, please do so. memo: Church supplies The Outreach of Eternal Life Pastor Wilfredo Pamisa, his wife Vita and the team of co-ministers at Eternal Life Church are passionate about Outreach Missions. They visit remote tribal villages, some only accessible by horseback. Some tribes still practice their traditional culture and witchcraft. The Power of God has been moving with these faithful servants. Miracles are being reported of taking place, bondages have been broken and souls are being saved. By the Grace of Almighty God, they have been able to break new ground for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be spread and plant churches. Three areas they visited recently, one where a church plant is, is in need of tents or tarps to erect to hold services in due to them not having a building yet. Some areas are attempting to purchase land for churches. Others have land but are in need of livestock, such as goats to sustain themselves with. In the rural areas and towns, feeding programs are being set up to feed hungry children and families, opening the door for evangelism there. They preach the gospel, show Jesus films and pass out tracts. Locally, their Christian schools are growing in attendance and more land is needing to be purchased to build bigger schools. They are also holding Youth Conferences, the next one being in December 09. If you feel lead by the Holy Spirit to assist these in their endeavors for the Lord, please do so with a gift of any amount or purpose in your heart to covenant with these laborers with a monthly commitment.
