2000+ years ago, Pontius Pilate asked the people what they wanted to do with
Jesus, they said, "Crucify Him!".....
When the apostle Paul was still Saul, (persecutor and executioner of
Christians) met Jesus on the Damascus Road, the question posed by the Risen
Christ was not why was he killing Christians, but, "Why persecutest thou
me?"....
Jesus definitely met and dealt with opposition. But what about today? What
will we do with Jesus? Will we sit Him on a shelf and admire Him.....will we
put Him in a closet, and only get Him out when we need Him? Matthew
28:19-20 says that we have a job to do. We are to preach Jesus to a lost and
dying world, keeping alive that Marvelous Gift He gave so many years ago.
The Great Commission was given to the disciples before Jesus ascended into
the Heavens. "Go out into the whole world", He told them.....Did Jesus
really expect 11 men to travel the entire globe...and live long enough to tell us
today? Of course not! That definitely would be hard thing to do. Well, now
we have missionaries. Does that take care of the "world" needing Christ? Of
course not! Missionaries are very beneficial to spreading the Gospel, but they
are not here at home...in our communities, in our schools, in our jails. That's
where Whole Church Involvement comes in. And, that's right...the Church is
made up of Christians...YOU And Me. The commission that Christ gave that
day was for us all. We have a job to do. Some people have big jobs...like
being a missionary. Others have small jobs, like passing out care baskets at
the nursing home. The thing to remember is, all things done with Christ, is
BIG to Christ.
God has placed every Christan in the Body, with Jesus Christ as the Head.
(1 Corinthians 12:12-18) We all have a function and no one function is more
important than another. People however, will shy away from doing their
part...some from having a big part, because they are afraid of failure...and
others shy, if their part is small. They feel like it is not important or they
might be embarrassed. We are very blessed to be a part of such a great work
and should be proud of whatever the Lord has ordained each one of us to do.
Operating in our "Calling" and following His daily command is one of the
most rewarding acts you can do on this earth. So let us do what He has for us
to do, with diligence!
So what will YOU do with Jesus?
One thing that really would be great, would be that you share with the world
your WWYD Story. Your story of what you do with Jesus will be an
encouragement to other Christians....encouraging them to come out of their
shell and join hands with us in fulfilling the Greatest Thing Christ has ever
asked us to do....help spread the Gospel to a lost and dying world.

Dear WWYD...
I feel lead by the Lord to put back a
certain amount of money each week
for the emergencies of others. When
I am out and about, and I run across
someone that is having a hard time,
such as a family that can not buy
groceries that week or someone that
is struggling to pay for their meds or
even someone that might need gas
for traveling, I can chip in and help.
Sometimes, I do it anonymously and
sometimes I let them know it is me.
(it all depends on the situation and
the person) This also opens a door
for me to witness to them about
Christ. The Lord is faithful to bless
me in this helps ministry and I
always seem to have whatever
amount of money that the person
may need. I am thankful that the
Lord can use me in this way, and I
look forward to future missions He
might put me into. It is a real
blessing to work for Him.

Dear WWYD...
I work around alot of people that is not
saved. They are always downing the
Deity of God and Christians in general.
They make fun of me as well. I don't
care they make fun of me, but it does
upset me that they have no respect for
God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit. However,
these times of harassment gives me an
opportunity to work for Him. I tell them
of God's great love for mankind, and
instead of anger I retaliate their ridicule
with forgiveness and love. Sometimes,
some of these guys will get me off to the
side and tell me, that they can see that I
am different and they will ask me "do
you REALLY believe all this stuff about
the Lord?" And, I will them them, "YES,
I am nothing without Him." They may
never change the way they think while I
am employed here, but it is definitely
planting seeds in their spirit for their
Salvation on day. I trust that the Lord
will send others their way to water the
seeds I have planted, and that one day,
they too will be able to boast how
wonderful our Lord God is.

Dear WWYD...
I am thankful that I grew up with parents who are
missionaries. I have seen the devastation of other countries
and their people. I have seen up front the pain and tears
that we in the United States do not know. Death is common
and often there, and life is much more appreciated. I have
seen war and I have seen turmoil. But, I have also seen the
hand of God at work..I have seen miracles and I have seen
healing and deliverances. Now that I am an adult and have
my own medical practice, I can use my experiences of the
missionary field to witness to others about Christ. Too many
people live in a world of fantasy in the United States.
Devastation is real. Disease and disorders are a serious
matter. But Christ, is the deliverer of them all. He can heal
diseases that mankind can not even glaze over the surfaces
of. He can set order in the world where only chaos reigns.
And, He can make all impossible things possible. He gives
hope for parents whose child is dying, and when we can not
help. He gives comfort to the grieving. He is more than just
a God of Salvation. I praise Him for His sovereign Will in
everything. I praise Him, He is my Lord and I have the
grand opportunity to work for Him.

Dear WWYD....
I go around in the ER of Hospitals and visit the sick and
grieving there. I always carry oranges in my basket. You
would not believe how comforting an orange is to one who
is heart is hurting over a loved one.
